Hiking Club

"Sports do not build character. They reveal it."

- Heywood Broun -
Would you like to escape the routine and explore our beautiful nature?

Breathe the fresh air of Lebanese heights, and relax in an environment conducive to your well-being,
away from urban noise and pollution?

The Université Antonine has launched its Hiking Club - CHUA - in the academic year of 2013/2014, allowing students and staff to evade in our country's richness and explore new green spaces and landscapes.

UA has chosen this club in particular because of the numerous benefits that Hiking offers:

- Avoiding stress and good health maintenance

- Providing an additional student activity

- Discovering new Lebanese regions and landscapes

- Creating an additional encounter place, off campus, between students from different faculties

Whether it is a snowshoeing event, a coastal hike or a walk in a natural reserve; you are all welcome to experience Lebanon in a different angle; benefit from Chamoun Mouannes, the guide's expertise in ecotourism.

The Adventure Club is a new project within the Hiking Club, that involves camping, rafting and other recreational activities besides ordinary walks in nature. Upcoming events during this spring semester will be announced soon, stay tuned!
