Antonine Sports Club

The Université Antonine has launched its Sports Club during an opening ceremony, in the presence of the academic dean Father Germanos Germanos, Swaziland Consular Mr. Nasri Nasri Lahoud and president of the Lebanese Sports Federation for Universities, among other prominent prospects and sports’ figures.

                      

Mrs. Zeina Mina, director of the sports and physical education institute at UA, has welcomed all the guests emphasizing on the recent events and achievements of the faculty; giving the speech to Father Germanos Germanos thanking in his turn all those who have contributed to the excellence and success of the UA sports faculty:  

"Far from the sectarian strife and political storms that devastate our Levant and beloved country, we gather today to announce, with great pride, that the Athletic Club Antonin continues its march and joined the family of the Antonine University, to build alongside the IEPS, a pioneering center of excellence that is part of the Lebanese sports development strategy that the University has adopted years ago ".Has he said." This approach is an attempt to Lebanon recovers its prestigious status in the field of Sports" he further stated.

At this point, it should be stressed that the Athletic Club Antonine, founded in 1975 in the College of the Antonine Fathers, now goes under the leadership of the UA, which with its Institute of Physical Education, enabling Lebanese youth sports to evolve further. For his part, Mr. Nasri Lahoud President of the Lebanese University Sports Federation, himself a former College of the Antonine Fathers, thanked the initiative of the UA, saying that the Athletic Club Antonine now benefits from the potential that the UA has to offer to go even further.

Finally, Coach Elie Nasr explained the club's goals, remember, and includes several disciplines starting with basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, tennis and Kung Fu.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, and closed with the distribution of medals.
