The Art of Jewelry

The center of Continuing education at the Université Antonine, is organizing a workshop entitled " the Art of Jewelry" in collaboration with the biggest Lebanese jewelry houses Antoine Hakim and Selim Mouzannar. 

This event is open to public, amateurs or professionals; based on the original proposal of Sandy SAAD, art consultant. The courses are exempted by the expert, the gemologist of fine jewelry at Sotheby’s France, Mrs. Claire de Truchis-Lauriston. 

Date: February 4 till February 6, 2016

Location: The SmallVille Hotel, Badaro- Beirut. 

Time: 9:30 till 17:30 

Cost: 400 US Dollars 


The participants will benefit from a total immersion every morning for three hours a course, while the afternoon period will be dedicated to learn how to analyze the quality of stones and recognize the refinement and precise work of jewelers/designers in a practical workshop:

  • DAY 1: precious stones (Diamond, ruby, sapphire and emerald)
  • DAY 2: pearls, fine and ornamental stones 
  • DAY 3: the history of jewelry [From the Middle-Ages to the modern/contemporary jewels]



Every member will have the chance to visit the the private museum of Robert Mouawad, MIM museum with the presence of Mr. Selim Eddé. In addition to an exclusive discovery of the production Ateliers and rare prestigious collections of Antoine Hakim and Selim Mouzannar.
